Korean Language & Cultural Program Coordinator

Korean Center, Inc. (KCI) is a non-profit organization based in San Francisco. KCI provides and promotes programs, events and information that illuminate Korean culture, assist Korean residing in the San Francisco Bay Area and foster multicultural understanding among all cultures and generations. Looting to the future, we endeavor to promote and culture in the SF Bay Area by expanding educational classes and cultural workshops and events for youth, adults and seniors throughout the year.

Korean Language & Cultural Program Coordinator

The Korean Language Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing all aspects of the KLP and day-to-day program operations. As an integral member of the KCI team, the KLP Coordinator also supports related programming and events, and reports to the Program Director. The position requires bilingual (English-Korean) fluency.

Social Service/Senior Program Coordinator

KCI Social Service/Senior Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator’s responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the day-to-day implementation of planned educational and cultural activities for social service and senior programs; Senior Meal Delivery Programs, Translation of resources, Service Referrals, etc.

Korean Language Instructor for Adult Program (King Sejong Institute in San Francisco)

Korean Center, Inc. (KCI) in San Francisco is looking for qualified Korean Language Instructors.

KCI offers a year-round Korean Language Program in partner with King Sejong Institute (KSI). King Sejong Institute is the integrated brand name of an institute of Korean Language study supported and designated by the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Various level classes are offered for those who want to learn Korea language and culture at KCI.

Qualifications and Skills:

Applicants MUST meet one of the followings

-Have a Korean Language Teacher’s Certificate(한국어교원 자격증 소지자)

-Have completed Korean Language Teacher education training Course(한국어교원 양성과정 수료자)

-Have a bachelor’s degree or higher in language or language education with at least one year’s experience in Korean Language education (어문 계열 또는 언어 교육 학사 이상 소지자로 한국어 교육 경력이 최소 1년 이상인 자)

 

Rate: $30-35/hr

Korean interpereter/translator Pool
Korean center, Inc. has received requests for Korean-English translators/interpreters in various occasions. Those requests are from the city, government projects, business meetings, conferences or private matters. We would like to share these chances with you.

Program Assistant

Korean Center, Inc.(KCI) founded in 1974, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community by providing informational, educational, and social services to underserved immigrant and other communities in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In partnership with SF New Deal, KACF-SF, KCCEB and KASSI, on April 13th KCI launched the Senior Meal Delivery Program to provide lunches for vulnerable Korean seniors during the COVID-19 crisis. SF New Deal seeks to provide immediate relief to San Francisco small business and residents in need who are most affected by the pandemic.

This position is to serve as the administrative Assistant to the Senior Meal Delivery Program, provide information about the program over the phone and in person, to assist with registration of the program and volunteer management, and to implement administrative systems, procedures and policies.

Korean Center, Inc.(KCI) in San Francisco is looking for Youth Program teachers, who will be teaching Korean Language to Children.

KCI is a community-based, non-profit organization established in 1974 to assist newly arrived Korean immigrants and others to realize their full potential in America through education, training, and cultural and social services.The Korean Center currently offers a variety of educational classes and cultural workshops and events for youth, adults, and seniors throughout the year.

The teachers will be teaching Korean Language to K-4th Grade at the Korean Center in San Francisco. We prefer candidates who have experience in teaching or taking care of kids, but required.  The candidates must be able to work on Tues, Wed, & Thursday between 3:00pm-6:20pm.

You don’t have enough experience in teaching children or Korean Language, yet, you are interested in learning how to teach Korean Language? Korean Center, Inc. (KCI) is looking for Teaching Assistant for Youth Program who has a passion for becoming a Korean Language Instructor for youth (& adult). Depending on the performance, KCI will help the assistant get trained and get a certificate for Korean Language Teacher Education Training Course. Candidates who apply for the position will be expected to go through several evaluation processes.

*Salary : $16 -$17 / hour
