Communications & Outreach Manager

Korean Center, Inc. (KCI) is a non-profit organization based in San Francisco. KCI provides and promotes programs, events and information that illuminate Korean culture, assist Korean residing in the San Francisco Bay Area and foster multicultural understanding among all cultures and generations. Looting to the future, we endeavor to promote and culture in the SF Bay Area by expanding educational classes and cultural workshops and events for youth, adults and seniors throughout the year.

Communitcations & Outreach Manager

The Communications & Outreach Manager (COM) is a newly created position at KCI and will play a key role in KCI’s ability to achieve its ambitious strategic goals. The COM will work closely with the Executive Director to increase KCI’s visibility in, outreach to, and relations with Bay Area communities. This multifaceted role includes responsibilities in the areas of: fundraising, donor relations and database management; written and online communications (including managing KCI’s website and social media accounts); and supporting outreach and communications for KCI’s programs and events (including the Annual Chuseok Festival).

Program Manager

Looting to the future, we endeavor to promote and culture in the SF Bay Area by expanding educational classes and cultural workshops and events for youth, adults and seniors throughout the year.

Program Manager

The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing all aspects of the Annual Bay Area Chuseok Festival (held in Sept. or Oct.), other cultural programs and events, and senior programs at KCI. The successful candidate will have related program/event coordination experience, preferably with a nonprofit organization; bilingual (English-Korean) fluency; be a self-starter who demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style; demonstrated ability to work efficiently on multiple projects, prioritize, and follow through; cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively with KCI various constituencies; and a passion for KCI’s vision and mission. The PM reports to KCI’s Executive Director and is expected to work collaboratively with other staff.

(Part-Time) Korean Language Instructor for Adult Program (King Sejong Institute in San Francisco)

Korean Center, Inc. (KCI) in San Francisco is looking for qualified Korean Language Instructors.

KCI offers a year-round Korean Language Program in partner with King Sejong Institute (KSI). King Sejong Institute is the integrated brand name of an institute of Korean Language study supported and designated by the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Various level classes are offered for those who want to learn Korea language and culture at KCI.

Qualifications and Skills:

Applicants MUST meet one of the followings

-Have a Korean Language Teacher’s Certificate(한국어교원 자격증 소지자)

-Have completed Korean Language Teacher education training Course(한국어교원 양성과정 수료자)

-Have a bachelor’s degree or higher in language or language education with at least one year’s experience in Korean Language education (어문 계열 또는 언어 교육 학사 이상 소지자로 한국어 교육 경력이 최소 1년 이상인 자)
